- Annoucement!
- ------------
-
- We have a new product available: TbFence. This is an automatic diskette
- encryption/protection intended for use in workgroups or company sites.
- It enables you to use diskettes throughout your company as you would
- usually do, but if you take such a diskette to home without permission,
- you can't read it. Also, you can't use 'foreign' diskettes on the company
- machines, until they are approved and authorized by the gateway station.
-
- For more information contact your TBAV dealer, or download or request
- the shareware version of TbFence.

- 6.05 Product update
- -------------------
-
- TBAV:
- - Solved a minor bug in the file viewer.
-
- - Added a menu option in the 'TbScan advanced options' section.
- A corresponding TBAV.INI keyword has also been added.
-
-
- TbScan:
- - Solved a small bug that caused TbScan to scan non-existing files in
- sub-directories on 1.44 Mb diskettes when the sub-directory contained
- an exact multiple of 16 entries.
-
- - TbScan has been modified to get around DMA problems that could
- reduce the performance of TbScan. On the machines which suffered
- from this problem (some 8088 and 80286 machines) TbScan might now
- be 20-40% faster! On other machines you will not notice any
- difference.
-
- - Added a new option to specify additional executable extensions.
- The filename extensions that TbScan scans by default are:
- .COM.EXE.OV?.SYS.BIN.BOO
- With option EXEC=<extensions> you may specify additional executable
- extensions to this list. Consult the file Addendum.Doc for information.
-
-
- TbUtil:
- - Changed the TbUtil immunization to be compatible with TbFence.
-
-
- TbDriver:
- -> Changed the NoAVOK option: network drives are now covered by the
- character '*'. So, if you want to assume permission on drive A,
- B, and Y (remote drive) when the Anti-Vir.Dat file does not exist,
- specify 'NoAvOk=AB*'.
-
-
- TbCheck:
- -> To increase the security offered by option 'secure', it is no longer
- possible to use option 'remove' and 'off' once option 'secure' has
- been specified.
-
- -> Changed the NoAVOK option: network drives are now covered by the
- character '*'. So, if you do not want a warning if the Anti-Vir.Dat
- files does not exist on drive A, B, and Y (remote drive),
- specify 'NoAvOk=AB*'.
-
-
- TbScanX:
- -> To increase the security offered by option 'secure', it is no longer
- possible to use option 'remove' and 'off' once option 'secure' has
- been specified.
-
- - TbScanX now requires just 10Kb of memory to startup in XMS mode.
- Previously, TbScanX required about 30Kb of memory while initializing,
- making it difficult to load it into a small upper memory block.
-
- - It is now allowed to specify option XMS and EMS together. In this
- case, TbScanX will first try to use EMS, if this fails XMS, and
- if this also fails it starts up without swapping.
-
-
- TbMem:
- -> To increase the security offered by option 'secure', it is no longer
- possible to use option 'remove' and 'off' once option 'secure' has
- been specified.
-
-
- TbFile:
- -> To increase the security offered by option 'secure', it is no longer
- possible to use option 'remove' and 'off' once option 'secure' has
- been specified.
-
-
- TbDisk:
- -> To increase the security offered by option 'secure', it is no longer
- possible to use option 'remove' and 'off' once option 'secure' has
- been specified.
